If I shrunk it the drawing was too small. This method did NOT work. I had to go into AutoCAD, convert the drawings into PDF there and save. Then go into Word and insert the through 'Object'. The images were not sharp and clear. If I had to enlarge them, the lines became blurry.

Hi Jeanette yes you can paste any dwg or its part from auto cad into word file by using the following steps. On command bar type- wmfout then choose the required part or drawing and press enter your file will be saved as xxxxxx.wmf or go to plot and select png then select the required part of drawing or what ever you want. Press enter your file will be saved as xxxxxxx.png or in pdf formate most commen way. You can insert your drawing haveing wmf.
