Jasc Paint Shop Pro Free For Windows 10 jascworth JASC Paint Shop Pro 8 with Windows 10. When I click on a photo icon and right click to open it with JASC Paint.

I've only recently updated my PSP II to PSP 7. During the installation, it checked for updates and none were available. None show on the web site as of this time.

The new version does offer both a 32 bit and a 64 bit installation option.or you can install both. The claim is that there are more plugins for the 32 bit version at this time. I've used PSP since it was Jasc shareware. Patches have been few but they've been available as downloadable executables on the support site. I've found it to quite useful but still more than I need. If you've not used it, there will be a learning curve.

I bought my PSP 7 Ultimate for 30 bucks during one of those Amazon lightning deals they were having over the holidays. They may offer it at that price again.who knows. Hope that helps.

Hi Steven: Thanx for the quick reply. I may not have clearly explained that i'd like to try JASC PSP 7 before converting to Corel's equivalent.

The old JASC website has been re-directed to Corel who apparently no longer supports JASC products (naturally since an upgrade to Corel products is their goal). It sounds like you may not have needed many 'fixes' with the JASC product when you used it. But if it needs help then an upgrade to Corel may be the only answer - true?? Bewildered Bob ps: what is your opinion of Corel PSP 7 Ultimate - is it worth the $$? There is a web site for old versions of software. I won't link to it as that could like like spam. Use google and you'll find the last issue of PSP 7 by Jasc was 7.04.

It shows as having been released in Aug. If you don't have that version, you don't have the latest. It lists XP and Vista as being compatible but not Win 7 so you're on your own as far as trying to install and use it. Win 7 changed the way users were handled and where some files were placed. As for patches and updates, you're going to be left with an orphan. There won't be any official fixes. As for the Corel PSP 7 Ultimate, I've only recently installed it but I only paid 30 bucks as I said and that's probably less than I paid for the Jasc products when using them.

I've used PSP alongside the Adobe baseline products such as Elements and Premier Elements. I've found them to each have their own strength's and weaknesses but they complement each other well for my purposes. It's one's purposes that make the difference. I'll use PSP for photo editing but the Adobe products for some of its tools or for slide show production. My old Adobe doesn't support 64 bit and, when upgrading PSP, that's what I was looking for. You can watch Amazon for the 30 dollar deal if you wish. That's the lowest price I've found for the 'Ultimate' version.

I used Paint Shop Pro 7.04 with Windows 7 and Windows 8.1 without issue. It works in Windows 10 but there are issues.

You can't set it as a default for files. If you do double click a jpg for example PSP7 will open but the jpg will not. An error message will pop up saying the command could not be sent to the program. I've tried compatibility setting but can't seem to overcome that. Seems to work fine if you open your file from within PSP7.

I have newer software but it is hard to beat this version for quick edits. It has no bloat to it.
